Dry Bones
I may be nothing now, but you should have seen me
I vow- I had fibrous muscles of sinewy strength
Ask those who knew me
Tendons connected me like webbing
Skin absorbing sunlight- a beautiful sight
But the heat grew intense
The number of temptations immense
As the desert sand knows,
Dryness, as it goes, disposes of all moisture
Leaving each particle dry,
Left to the elements under the blue sky
In the same did I fall from God
Succumbed by temptations
Broken and fractured
God no longer my manufacturer
Not waiting to be raptured
Bones lay split and abandoned
When God took away his protection
I was left to the elements
They berated me, fated me to dry up
I WAS SPIRITUALLY DEAD!
Fallen from God
Supernatural love needed to save me
Cause superficial was my natural
I was a U F O
Unfaithfully Following Others
UninFormed Of my savior's supernatural power
His ability to breathe life into dry bones
Into the slain, open graves
of the ones once enslaved to sin
Those who dried up from sin
Ezekiel may prophesy but not without my-
not without my cry can God act
Cry uncle!
Even as dryness cloggs my throat
In anguish whisper- cry out to God
As dryness out of bitterness diminishes hope
I cry to you Lord: for Your breath
To fill me from the depths of my soul
Invigorating the bone within
Starting with the marrow
Taking away sorrow
Life returns where previously
Only strife remained within me
From the tibia to the fibula
Up the spine, through ribs
Within me, at my core
He saw the dryness I bore
But what wasn't good enough before
Could be raised up once more
Tendons enveloped me as His love developed me
Flesh grew in lieu of who I was before
skin covered me as purpose discovered me
And it was then I knew: He was Lord
Rejuvenated I stand here
Finally animated I seek other bones, invigorated
Together we must rally to become a body
One bone can't stay standing alone
ALL 206 bones are needed to form the body
We are ALL needed to form the body of Christ
Our ALL is demanded because His love changed us
Join me, Rise up in flesh,
For The redeemer is coming to seek a body of Christ
An Israel that is not dry but alive
Alive with the breath of God
that gives purpose to previoiusly dry and dead bones
'Agape' is the Greek word for love. Specifically, the love for God. Therefore it is appropriate to use 'agape' to describe this poetry. This is Christ-inspired. This is spoken word.
About Me

- Agape Love Poetry
- Romans 8:38-39 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
