About Me

My photo
Romans 8:38-39 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Worldview

Stuck, stuck in your cocoon
seeing the world in a shade of maroon.
A view considered to many awry
yet never able to let go and fly.

In that rose colored world
that works for you,
caught between a one and a two
unsure if it's me or if it's you
not giving credit where it is due

Think what's on your plate is enough?
Good luck with just a fork,
the meat can be tough.
Chew it till the gold comes loose
sell it back to buy your noose.

Suppressing and repressing comes undone,
long hidden problems, a few more than none.
All the talk is just depressing.
Confront the issues as they come.

On your knees to weep and pray
makes everything in your world okay.
So you sit and wait for light to penetrate
the membrane surroundings you create.

Pulled this way and that-
consistently used, left on your back;
left insecure and unsure.
Each fall brings a crack, nay fissure.

Gentleness and kindness flow from fingertips
reaching out to empty air, unglimpsed
without glasses, nothing is seen,
faith servers as a humble screen.

Because your worldview is considered skewed
people don't think, automatically rude
listing off stereotypes, trying to make you fit
into a box,

The beauty in this life arises
with how magnificent the price is
the one He paid that allowed
you to sing His praises aloud

No hesitations before your lips,
sing out with passion, ringing "I am HIS!"
People stare and judge like pharisees
but they are missing the one thing that's key

See Christ had you in mind
when they took His feet to bind.
The kind of pain that'd make me blind
he took it, screaming "YOU ARE MINE!"
